IPv6 Transition
With the June 2008 deadline for federal agencies
to transition to IPv6 rapidly approaching, Webster Data has resources
in place to develop and implement IPv6 transition plans that fully
meet OMB requirements.
Our experience in designing, implementing and managing
enterprise network architectures enables us to work with agencies
throughout all phases of the IPv6 transition process – planning,
training and adoption management, inventory control, network design
and implementation, investment protection, and ongoing maintenance.
Transition Planning
Webster Data designs agency migration plans from current architecture
to IPv6 standards by linking agency missions to IPv6 functionality.
We leverage our expertise in network design, inventory asset tracking
and IT priorities to craft transition plans that protect production
capabilities and address emerging needs.
Training/Adoption Management
Webster Data ensures that agencies have the support resources
necessary to articulate IPv6 training objectives by designing
training programs that address network management needs, as well
as general IT training.
Inventory Control
Post-transition, Webster Data provides ongoing IPv6 planning and
change management, concentrating on providing investment protection
and adequate future-proofing of the enhanced architecture. We
assess emerging network requirements as part of ongoing service
delivery.
Network Design and Implementation
Webster Data’s extensive network design and implementation
experience provides a template for working closely with federal
agencies to ensure continuous progress to realize the maximum
benefits of transition to an IPv6 platform.
Investment Protection
Webster Data recognizes the significant investment that federal
agencies make in their transition to IPv6, and our number-one
goal is to ensure that agencies implement an IPv6 strategy that
protects this investment throughout the entire transition process
and beyond.
Ongoing Maintenance
We are prepared to work alongside federal agencies
to provide continuous IPv6 compliance services.
