As the prime contractor, Webster Data’s team will maintain and operate AAUSN-owned systems and applications, and provide support and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for Continuity of Operations (COOP), Information Assurance (IA), Information Technology/Information Management (IM/IT), Document Management (DM), Records Management (RM), Knowledge Management (KM) and other related tasks. The solicitation for re-compete was released in February, 2009 as a small business set-aside under the SeaPort-e contract vehicle. Webster Data, a SeaPort-e prime contract holder, was able to leverage its broad capability offering along with a strong teaming relationship with Booz Allen Hamilton and secure the award. When asked about the OPTI award, LaMont Wells, Webster Data’s CEO said “This win marks the beginning of a new journey for Webster Data. There is a sense of irony in Webster Data winning this as a prime contractor because this was our company’s first customer in 1998, when OPTI was known as the Information Network Processing Office (INPO). Things have come full circle. This contract is essential to the future growth of the company. We are very pleased to provide IT support services to the AAUSN and its Claimancy.”
